Samuel Buck (1696-1779) and his brother Nathaniel (d.1759-1774) were printmakers and engravers. They were particularly known for their work Buck’s Antiquities which comprised a series of prints of castles and ruined monastic buildings in England and Wales, produced between 1724 and 1742. At the same time they were also working on a series of townscapes, entitled Cities, Sea-ports and Capital Towns.
