The Insignia of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, 19th Century.

Comprising: a Lesser George, or sash badge in gold and enamels, a breast star, two embroidered garters, one pale blue, the other dark blue and a sash. These were presented to the Rt. Hon. Brownlow, 2nd Marquess of Exeter, who was nominated KG on 10th March, 1827. (The pale blue garter and the sash were not exhibited in The Victorians at Burghley exhibition).
