Oval, enamel in a gold frame, 4.5cm. Engraved on the reverse: ‘Letitia Countess / of Exeter/ Duchess to/ Horatio Townshend/ Esq./ By Rocquet [sic].’
Letitia, the daughter and heiress of the Hon. Horatio Townshend of Norfolk married Brownlow, 9th Earl of Exeter (1725-1793), in 1749.
She died seven years later in 1756.
