A gold quarter repeating centre seconds ruby cylinder watch, circa 1790.

The watch is signed on the reverse of the dial, Borel 83. The white enamel dial has arabic numerals and a secret signature below 12.

There is a subsidiary seconds dial at 2 with a regulator at the edge of the dial.

It is signed Breguet no. 231 on the movement and gilt cuvette; the inside of the back of the case is numbered 231 and 3845.

There are reeded bezels and the back of the case has radiating engine turning from a central engraved crest, 58mm diameter.

The back of the watch would have been plain originally and was probably replaced by Breguet at a later date.
