Antiveduta Grammatica was born in either Siena or Rome.
He worked mostly in Rome, where he became a member of the Accademia di San Luca, in which he eventually held high office.
However, he was to become involved in a scandal within the Accademia about the proposed sale of the Accademia’s altarpiece, which seems to have blighted his final years.
