An ovoid jar, Kangxi, (1662-1722).

The blue souffle ground with three reserves, the first of barbed form painted with a peacock and song birds among flowering tree peony, the second circular reserve with archaic bronze vessels, vases and auspicious emblems, the third rectangular panel painted with mounted pilgrims and an attendant traversing mountainous terrain with typical blazed rocks, the short unglazed neck encircled by a floral band, height 22cm.
