An opaque white glass snuff bottle, Chinese, 1800-1920.

The opaque white body of this bottle which is imitating nephrite, is carved in high relief on each side with a group of bronze vessels and other precious objects; there are mask and ring handles on the shoulders, 6.2cm.

Attributed to Beijing

The Chinese delighted in copying various materials, particularly hardstones, in glass or porcelain.
