An ivory carved snuff bottle, Chinese, Qianlong (1736-1795).

The bottle is carved in deep relief with nine Buddhist lions playing with brocade balls on a wave ground, between ruyi head bands.

The base in incised with the seal mark of Qianlong within a double square; with a matching stopper, 6.7cm.

Made in the Beijing Palace Workshops.
