An Augsburg silver-gilt filigree casket.

Set with enamel plaques painted with flowers and a central circular landscape, containing eight bottles and a central, oval lidded filigree container, width 9cm.

The eight bottles bear the mark of John Chartier, a Huguenot working in London in the last years of the 17th Century, but it has been suggested that neither they, nor the oval filigree container, may be original to the casket.
