Alessandro Turchi was an Italian artist of the early Baroque who was born in Verona, where he was active until late in life, when he moved to Rome, where he died. Apart from altarpieces, religious works and frescoes, he painted many cabinet pictures depicting historical subjects which he often painted on black marble.
