A Yixing stoneware snuff bottle, 1780-1860.

A circular bottle, with a recessed circular panel on each side, decorated in buff slip and depicting a riverside scene on one side and sprays of blossom on the other, all reserved on a blue enamel ground. Yixing, in the Province of Jiangsu, was celebrated for its stonewares from the 17th Century onwards, 5.7cm.
