A transparent pale green glass snuff bottle, 1750-1820.

This bottle is carved with circular panels which depict, on one side,  Zhonggui, the Demon Queller, flashing a sword at bats in flight, and, on the other, a demon kneeling before a bearded sage beneath a tree; the shoulders are carved with bats suspending mock ring handles, 5.9cm.

Bottles with decoration carved directly onto the body are less common than those with overlay decoration.
