The cup is 7.5cm. in height, the bullet-shaped teapot, 16cm. Both are moulded with fine spiral ribbing painted in purplish underglaze blue with a stylised oriental flowering tree emerging from a rock garden beneath a border of fine lambrequins. The base of the teapot also has crossed swords and a cross mark, together with an incised monogram IF.
The porcelain factory in Tournai, Belgium produced porcelain from about the mid 18th Century until the mid 19th Century.
