A stained glass painting, showing a church interior.

This stained glass painting was badly damaged when a German bomb fell in the Park in 1940, causing considerable damage to windows on the north and west fronts of Burghley.

It was stored in pieces until 1990, when it was restored (with some pieces missing), and placed in the Black and Yellow Bedroom with other similar works.

One of these, an 18th Century Flemish genre scene after Teniers, signed by Jervais, (EWA08648) has a similar frame, though the frames are later.
