The panel depicts a finch pecking at a berry on a branch.
Once thought to be Roman, it is now considered to date from the late 18th Century.
Mosaics of this kind were often made during the period and sold to gullible, or unsuspecting, Grand Tourists as original Ancient Roman artefacts.
