A silver-gilt steeple cup and cover, London, circa 1609.

The vase-shaped body and domed cover are both chased with strapwork and stylised trailing vines and set on a bracketed vase-shaped stem.

The cover is surmounted by a pierced triangular obelisk beneath a compressed ball finial; maker’s mark A.B., 50.2cm high.
