A set of Georgian silver-gilt salt cellars, Edward Farrell, London, Britannia Standard, 1820.

A set of four, formed as conch shells held aloft by two male and two female marine deities riding seahorses, on rockwork bases decorated with applied shells and coral, height 16.5cm.

Also four salt spoons with foliate bowls and mermaid figure handles, London 1817, the earlier dates standard.

The figure seen here riding a dolphin is part of another similar set of four, SIL04758.

A pair of spoons were displayed in the Art in Miniature Treasury Exhibition, 2010.
