A set of five small Derby circular baskets, circa 1760.

Each interior is painted with a bird perched on a leafy branch, or amongst foliage.

The pierced exteriors, composed of joined circles and other shapes, are applied with moulded pink-centred yellow florets at each intersection.

The green, yellow and puce rope-twist handles are applied with floral terminals; the rims applied with brown enamel, 11cm diameter.
