A rare mid Victorian rosewood chiming mantel clock, circa 1860.

The clock is in a rectangular case with carved wood side frets, 17cm high.

It has a gilt dial and fusée movement with maintaining power and lever escapement.

The clock chimes the quarters on a musical box type comb and the hours on a gong.

The movement is signed Payne, New Bond St. Patent.
