A pale apple-green glass snuff bottle, Chinese, 1770-1820.

The translucent pale apple-green glass of this ovoid bottle is suffused with paler clouds, in imitation of jadeite, 5.3cm.

Attributed to Beijing.

The Chinese delighted in copying various materials, particularly hardstones, in glass or porcelain.
