A pair of small circular Chelsea baskets, circa 1752-1757.

The interiors of the baskets are painted with a rose in bloom amidst buds and honeysuckle.

The straight, flared sides, which are composed of interlocking circles, are applied at each intersection with iron red florets; the rims enamelled in brown.

They carry an anchor mark and the letter S in red, 13cm.

Another similar pair has interlocking circles applied with yellow florets, 13cm and 14cm.
