The jars, which are 40cm in height, are decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze green, iron-red, yellow, aubergine and black, the sides painted with alternate figure and landscape subjects below a straight neck bearing the eight precious objects (pa-pao); the domed covers have further landscape compartments encircling an onion-shaped finial.
