A pair of Japanese Imari chrysanthemum-shaped saucer dishes, early 18th Century.

The dishes are decorated in underglaze blue and iron-red with gilding.

The central panel, also of chrysanthemum-form, is painted with buildings in a rocky, mountainous, riverine landscape.

The surrounding cavetto decorated with a band of chrysanthemum and peony flowers and buds, 23cm in diameter.
