A pair of Kakiemon goblets, Japanese, circa 1670-90.

The goblets are of European form; each U-shaped bowl decorated in a variation of the Kakiemon palette with sprays of wild pink, irises and tiger lilies.

Each foot has three vegetal sprays and the interior of each has a kikumon, or chrysanthemum flowerhead, 13.5cm high.
