A pair of double-gourd blanc de chine ewers and covers, second half 17th Century.

The ewers of hexagonal section, both bulbs moulded with slightly recessed leaf-shaped panels of wave pattern, the panels of the lower bulb have in addition Buddhist or Taoist emblems, the plain hexagonal cover is set with an onion finial, the vessel moulded in two vertical sections and covered in an ivory glaze, 12.5cm.
