A pair of blanc de chine wine cups, Chinese, early Kangxi (1662-1722).

The bell-shaped bowls are of elliptical section and applied with moulded flowers in relief.

On one side there is a spray of magnolia, and on the reverse is prunus or plum blossom; both sprays emanating from spurs of the branch which cages the base of the cups.

The glaze on one is of ivory tone, the other has a greyish white glaze, 9cm wide.
