A mottled pink and white glass snuff bottle, Chinese, 1800-1920.

The small bottle is moulded in the form of a peach.

The translucent white body is speckled in pink with an overlay of green glass depicting leaves and the matching twig-like stopper, 4.1cm.

As a general rule, as long as a snuff bottle stopper is aesthetically pleasing, it does not need to be in a matching material, but in the case of this bottle, a matching stopper is essential to complete the composition.

Attributed to Beijing.
