The 5cm teapot is of cuboid form, delicately painted in underglaze blue and overglaze iron-red, yellow, both bluish and yellowish green, black and gold with insects and two clumps of flowers and grasses below an undulating collar of chrysanthemum petals. The straight neck is encircled by pointed leaves and the cover decorated with a kikumon, or chrysanthemum flowerhead.
