The desk, in Louis XV style, is of serpentine outline with three frieze drawers, on cabriole legs and 73cm high, 100cm wide. The 1867 Burghley Inventory records: “Blue Drawing room, A 3.9 x 2.0 tulip and kingwood table with 3 drawers, brass bound and mounted with ormolu, the top lined green leather.”
