A Louis XV gilt-bronze mounted kingwood bureau-plat, mid 18th Century.

The crossbanded serpentine top inset with green tooled leather, with three frieze drawers inlaid with floral marquetry above a serpentine apron and cabriole legs, with C-scroll acanthus leaf mounts, ending in brass sabots, with alterations, 74.5cm by 174cm.

Stamped underneath “ASWARBY.”  Aswarby Park in Lincolnshire was the childhood home of the 4th Marchioness of Exeter.
