A single green glass overlay on an opaque white glass base.
The former is carved to depict eight egrets, either in flight or wading beneath clusters of lotus.
There is also an inscription appearing on the shoulders which reads ‘junzi jiusi’, meaning nine wishes to a person of rank, 7cm.
This bottle is brilliantly carved, with particularly skillful use of varying thicknesses in the overlay to suggest shading.
