A George III mahogany dressing chest, by Mayhew & Ince, circa 1770.

The rectangular top with canted moulded corners above a frieze drawer fluted and centred by a carved patera hung with husks, the interior with baize-lined slide and divisions above three long graduated drawers headed by paterae, the sides with applied mouldings and fluted friezes, raised on bracket feet, 91cm by 106cm.
