A George III laburnum-veneered Pembroke table, circa 1790.

The two-flap top with ebonised moulded edge veneered with sections of oyster-cut laburnum with opposing frieze drawers, on square tapering legs with castors, (with flaps down) 69cm by 48cm.

Reputedly made by Henry Tatam of Stamford. He is known for his work in exotic timbers and this is exactly his style.
