A French gold-mounted enamel plaque, late 18th Century.

The plaque, depicting Solomon examining the plans for the Temple, is set in a later gold mount.

This has a gold ribbon bow surmount and is bordered with translucent green and red enamel laurel.

The reverse has two apertures for photographs and is inscribed: ‘August 3rd 1874’.
