A porcelain snuff bottle, Qianlong (1736-1795).

The bottle is of oval form, moulded in relief and decorated with ‘famille-rose’ enamels on a gilt ground, 6.3cm.

Nine Buddhist lions are depicted wrestling with brocade balls and the neck is decorated in imitation of sharkskin.

The base has the two character chuan mark of the Qianlong emperor.
