The figure is a companion to that of a bagpiper (CER0671). The subtle use of green, yellow and puce and of flowered skirt for the dancer and jacket for the piper, successfully links the two fluidly modelled figures, both of which stand on bases of simple flower-encrusted mound form, the precursor to the rococo scroll base.
