A Canton club-shaped vase, Chinese, second quarter 19th Century.

The body is decorated in famille-rose enamels with two bands of alternating panels depicting figures in pavilions and birds and butterflies amongst flowers, separated by a foliate ground.

The broad neck has a continuous scene of figures in pavilions, with tumbling shishi as handles and gilt dragons in relief around the shoulders, 45.7cm.
