The pot is of bombé form, painted in outline and wash technique in translucent purplish cobalt blue with Shou Lao and the Eight Taoist Immortals bearing the objects with which they are identified.
It is heavily potted and supported on a flat-cut footrim slightly recessed or stepped on the outer wall.
The glaze is pure white, except on the lower area surrounding the foot, where it is suffused with opaque white flecks and has some russet staining, 24cm in diameter.
