A blanc de chine figure of Guanyin, Chinese, 17th Century.

The figure is modelled in her role as Songzhou, the giver of children.

She is shown seated with an infant upon her lap, the latter holding a brush and tablet.

To the left of the goddess, resting on a projecting rock, is the book of the law, 30cm.
