A biscuit porcelain ewer, Kangxi, (1662-1722).

The ewer is in the form of a lotus pod, glazed in yellow and green, 14cm.
The flower of the lotus is revered in Chinese culture, symbolising purity, above all and reflecting the perfect beauty of the exquisite flowers as they emerge from dark, murky waters.
