The 7.8cm wide box is of rectangular form with a double-opening. It has a gilt trellis pattern overall and reeded silver mounts with a flange thumbpiece. It has the maker’s mark of Jacques Malquis Lequin and the charge and discharge marks of Antoine Leschaudel.
