This aspect of the Collection is largely comprised of a superb group of Chinese Snuff Bottles. Originally collected, between 1900 and 1939 by a Welsh missionary doctor, these were purchased as a collection by Lord Exeter in the 1950’s as his contribution to the Treasures of Burghley. The project of uploading images and descriptions to this website is now in hand and will continue gradually until all items of importance can be seen by visitors.
